Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
SEND and Inclusion at Beaconfields Primary School and Nursery School
Welcome to our SEND and Inclusion page
At Beaconfields Primary School, we are committed to providing a whole-school approach to inclusion, ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and able to achieve their full potential. We recognise that some children may have special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) when they join us, while for others, additional needs may be identified at any point during their Nursery or school journey.
Through high-quality teaching, reasonable adjustments and the graduated approach, we adapt our provision to meet the individual needs of our pupils. Our SEND team works closely with teachers, support staff, children, parents and, where appropriate, external professionals to identify needs early and put the right support in place. We believe that early identification and appropriate intervention are key to enabling children to make progress and thrive.
We believe that every child, regardless of their starting point or individual needs, is entitled to a safe, secure, nurturing and stimulating learning environment where they can develop academically, socially and emotionally. We have high aspirations for all of our children and strive to remove barriers to learning so that every pupil can participate fully in school life and achieve their potential.
Our SEND Policy sets out our approach, aims and procedures for supporting pupils with SEND. Our SEND Information Report provides further information about the support and provision available at Beaconfields and how we work in partnership with children, families and other professionals to ensure that individual needs are understood and met.
